Why I love The Serengeti
I was only five years old in 1970 when I first heard the word Serengeti. My mom had take me to see the movies "Born Free" and "Forever Free". I feel in love with Africa. The Serengeti is where Joy and George Adamson released Elsa the lioness cubs after her death in 1961. There was just something so magical about east Africa and the animals of the area that I know then I have to some day visit. Elsa's descendants could still be living in The Serengeti. Unfortunitly, I have yet to visit Africa. But it is never far from my heart. I only hope and pray The Serengeti will still be the wonderful paradise it is today. The locals call it "Siringitu". The place where land moves on forever. This is just one of the reasons I love The Serengeti and want to save it.
